Mandala Type Crochet Projects

These I consider “art” crochet, where I get to make up the rules  for myself.  The common sense which I use to keep them flat is not  sufficient.    Stitching through the crochet from the back helps to remedy these problems, as does blocking, starching, and pressing from the back.

DSC07481 Much effort at flattening produced this.  The edge of this is intentionally ruffly, because I liked the effect of the off-white motifs surrounded by green which ruffled into place.  Altogether the effort came together.

Sunset Before Ike, Digital Painting With Paint ProgrAM

Photo of Pre-Ike Sunset svd here AUG 14, 2014   Maybe  I’ll try it again, later, because I will learn if I do so.    I took some liberties for drama, but I missed the rosy glow in the sky and reflected from the road.  I was working from my memory superimposed on a black and white print.
